Recent data shows that price growth has varied across different property types in Falkirk over the last year. For terraced houses, property prices changed by 2.3% between July 2024 and June 2024 to reach £141,362, and changed by 7.9% over the last 12 months. The annual change was less than the 6.2% change seen for terraced homes in Scotland overall.

Meanwhile, semi-detached properties saw a rise in average prices locally, taking them to £189,112 in June 2024. This represents a 2.2% change from the same month last year.This is outperforming the 6.6% annual change in semi-detached values across the country.

Detached homes in Falkirk gained 3.1% month-over-month to reach an average of £323,053. Annually, detached property values have changed by 9.2%. This is stronger price growth compared to Scotland's 7.8% change for detached houses over the year.

For apartments and flats, average prices increased by 2.2% between July and June 2024, hitting £97,652. Over the last 12 months, apartment values have changed by 5.5%, surpassing Scotland's flat and apartment growth rate of 4.6%.

Overall, detached properties have seen the strongest price momentum locally over the past year, with a change of 9.2%, while flat properties lagged, with a change of 5.5%.

Of these sales, 68 were recorded as cash purchases whilst 202 were purchased using a mortgage.
