For properties purchased with a mortgage, the average price changed by 3.1% since June, 2024, to £473,829.
Compared to the overall picture in its national parent England, the average property price in Oxford are higher than the current national average of £305,879. While Oxford saw a change of 3.1% over the last month, England as a whole recorded a percentage change of 0.2% in average property values. And on an annual basis, prices across England have grown by 1.6%, less than the 4.1% yearly change seen in Oxford.

For terraced houses, property prices changed by 3.1% between July 2024 and June 2024 to reach £474,984, and changed by 4.8% over the last 12 months. Meanwhile, semi-detached properties saw a rise in average prices locally, taking them to £606,432 in June 2024. This represents a 3.1% change from the same month last year.This is outperforming the 2.2% annual change in semi-detached values across the country.
Detached homes in Oxford gained 3.3% month-over-month to reach an average of £960,657. Annually, detached property values have changed by 3.9%. This is stronger price growth compared to England's 1.6% change for detached houses over the year.
For apartments and flats, average prices increased by 2.9% between July and June 2024, hitting £296,198. Over the last 12 months, apartment values have changed by 2%, surpassing England's flat and apartment growth rate of 0.4%.
Overall, semi-detached properties have seen the strongest price momentum locally over the past year, with a change of 4.8%, while flat properties lagged, with a change of 2%.
